Wild camping on Ecton Hill and waking up to this incredible sunrise was a beautiful way to start the day. It was my first time visiting this location, and I hiked up and pitched my tent in the dark, relying on a map and compass to make sure I was in the right place! In the morning I quickly realised I was slightly off the mark but only by a hundred metres or so, we packed up and walked to the spot. Made some porridge, a coffee and sat back and relaxed.
