Within a dense woodland in the Peak District, I was stopped in my tracks when I discovered the beautiful potential of an image. While it was raining, before the sun had risen, an old, wise tree had the persona of a gate keeper to the rest of my journey. I took this time to set up my tripod and observe the surroundings, until a light layer of mist was rising from the previous rainfall. A spectacular sight and incredible moment for me to witness, surrounded by nothing but trees, foliage and birds. Images like these quickly become my favourite, not because of the final product but the experience I had and joy that I felt.
