Community Photography Walk - Peak District

My first community photography walk! (Different to a Workshop)

After my recent work with Craghoppers, it came to my attention that there are a lot of outdoor photographers, and outdoor walking events, but nothing to combining the two. Us photographers like to take our time and plan our walks differently to someone who wants to put some miles in and hit a few trig points. So, I planned my walking route based on photography, and invited my Instagram community. Tickets SOLD OUT, within the first few days of announcing the walk, which was fantastic. I also got two sponsors for the day so that hot food and drink was provided to everybody on the day.

We had an incredible time, it’s a real privilege to be able to put something like this together and bring like minded people into a meaningful community. A group of 12 walking around the surrounding hills of Castleton snapping away and getting to know each other.

How is different to a workshop?

This is an informal group walk for like minded people to connect and explore on a 5 mile circular route around Castleton. This is just a chill community meet-up for a walk, like mates getting together.

A workshop is client focused, building foundations in photography and learning advanced techniques. The best thing to do if you’re interest in a workshop is have a read of my workshop page!

Here are a few reviews from the amazing people who joined the community walk! More can be read on the posts above.

Jack - “Brilliant day with some lovely people! Cheers”

Harvey - “Crackin day mate. Definitely do another!”

Mike - “absolutely love it @williamhickie thank you for putting it on 🙌❤️🔥”

El - “Thank you for organising! Had a great day!”
