Final Call
A beautiful, relaxing morning above Cressbrook Dale, an incredible location. With a very dark past. The limestone outcrop, is known as Peter’s Stone, before that it was known as Gibbet Rock. The body of a convicted murder was displayed here in 1815, which was the last ‘Gibbeting’ that took place. I know, way to kill the mood. Very nice place though.
This was actually a really difficult image to take, it was a challenge that I set for myself. To make the most of the summer overgrowth, and use it to my advantage, creating some form of organised chaos in the foreground and mid ground.
