Heather Fire

from £90.00

Red skies at Win Hill, almost resembling the 7th century battle which took place between Northumbria, and Wessex and Mercia. Northumbria won, and as they were set up on Win Hill, that's how it got its name. The counter part in the valley is Lose Hill. The night I took this photograph the lighting was very bland and I actually started to walk off, luckily I headed down the other side for a shot I wanted first. On the way back up to the to, around 15 minutes after the sun had set, the sky lit up in a fiery orange and red.
