Northern Peak District - Summer Sunset Photography Workshop.
My local spot in the Peak District, this is on the north-west side of the Peaks and does go a little bit unnoticed for landscape photographers. I find that this place is on a lot of people’s list but don’t know where it is. I’ve been that many times I could probably do it with my eyes closed now! It’s such a beautiful place, especially in summer when Heather is flourishing. Heather is something that the Peak District is famous for so it’s great to take this opportunity and get a really strong image.
We will start around 4 hours before sunset at 17:30 at paid car park, I will provide directions. The walk starts with steps going down through some woodland and then taking a road down to the reservoir. We cross over and head up onto the gritstone edges, and explore! “The Trinnacle” looks over Greenfield Reservoir, part of a 3 reservoir system - this being the highest one. An alternative route is to scramble up a waterfall on the top end of Greenfield. We won’t go this way, but I will point the route out if ever you want to return.
Throughout the day we will look at many techniques from beginner to advanced. A few examples could be selecting your camera settings, focus stacking and composing an image.
I tailor my course to you, as best as I can. Assuring that you learn something new and ultimately come out with work to be proud of.
I welcome all questions, photography, location or hiking related. Not only is this a great opportunity to learn from a professional - but to meet like minded people and make new friends.
The maximum spaces available will be 5, this will allow me to make sure that everyone can get the help they require and have their questions answered.
Upon booking, I will email you are a short questionnaire about your photography experience, to help me plan the day for you.
